About Us

Body Vitality is a Body and Mind wellness center providing in-person and online private sessions, classes and ongoing support for Body Rebalancing, Guided Meditation, Wellness Coaching, Assertiveness Training, Self-defense, Yoga, Belly Dance and Exercise Classes.

We all meet many challenges throughout our lives, and we all have gifts that can help ease each other‘s loads. Our gifts are that of compassion, understanding, supporting others in their self awareness and self love. Our students often compliment us on how fun and supportive an environment we create in our classes and sessions. People are drawn to work with us because they feel safe and comforted while working to overcome any obstacles they may have in their body. For those that don’t have any major obstacles, they find that integrating this work helps maximize the efficiency of their Workouts and other activities. We also work to clear emotional stresses before they create physical imbalances or pain.

Our clients report improved strength, balance, and reduction in tension or pain in their bodies. One of the biggest things that sets us  apart is that we are able to achieve these results without heavy uncomfortable workouts. Everything is customized to your needs and desires. If you want to work hard at a good workout and sweat be exhausted, you can do so. If you want to gently soften into a lighter state through easy restorative techniques, we are gifted in offering this. We most enjoy the middle road and always like to keep our sessions in the fun, enjoyably challenging and in the  “i want to do this more” zone.

I love helping people find new ways to be kind to their bodies and themselves. Teaching them skills to help move into better health, strength, spaciousness, and freedom. I was very athletic when I was young. Like many athletes, I had my fair share of sports injuries. I was also in two car accidents by the age of 20. I have always had a very heavy study and work load and by my mid-twenties found myself stressed, exhausted and in pain much of the time. I started looking for ways to help myself heal in my mid-teens. I found chiropractic, acupuncture, and massage very helpful. Shortly after starting these treatments, I started learning various techniques I could use on my own. As, I learned and became more skilled in motor development theory, yoga, meditation and breath work, I found the ability to rebalance myself on my own, without the need for as much intervention. The more I share this powerful and empowering work with others, the more I also gain for myself. This has become my main passion in life. Giving others the gift of learning how to care for themselves with kindness, fun and stuff that actually works!

My name is Michelle Love. I am passionate about the work I do, because it allows me to empower and help people. My entire professional career has revolved around helping others. I feel great satisfaction when I’m able to assist someone with their healing. I have worked over 30 years within the wellness field. I am a certified Wellness Coach, Self-defense instructor, Fitness trainer, and I have a degree in Psychology. I worked in mental health for seven years with teens and found it very rewarding. My work philosophy is about empowering people and helping them get in touch with their own inner strength. My goal is to help people develop a fulfilling, powerful sense of self. Many of my clients seek my help because they’re looking for inner and external healing. They are often looking for a holistic approach that addresses emotional healing and a creative expression of that healing within their lives. A common transformation that I am honored to witness from my clients, is the expression of their inner strength and power in their life. And, being able to find their voice to express their truth with others

Many healing modalities are focused on the client returning for repeated sessions to undo the stresses and strains of everyday life. Through my studies, I have learned and share with others techniques that help you move forward in your everyday life. Ways to move through your day that help support your health and freedom, so you don’t need me to “fix” anything. Instead, I am here to support your continued improvement, enjoyment, and engagement in an active fulfilling life through all its many changes. Most of us enjoy being cared for and passive receiving of health supporting energy. I love to give this to my clients as well. I want this to be food for you to feel better and better, rather than thinking you need me to keep their baseline. This work will give you the ability to improve on your own, and I am here to help you in a creative learning process of how you can feel your best and find your healthiest self

Meet Lisa Marinho

How We Got Started

I started the business as an expression of my love to help people feel better in their lives. I met Michelle when I opened a yoga studio in October 2019. I had taught at other studios and done personal private work with my Body Vitality sessions since 1999 and yoga since 2005. I decided to open my own studio in October 2019 and was looking for yoga instructors as well as other body workers. A mutual friend introduced Michelle and I. Michelle offered massage, taught belly dance and self-defense classes at that studio. Unfortunately, we had large fires in November 2019 and all of my yoga instructors needed to take some time off. I paused the grand opening of the studio and then the pandemic hit. I decided not to pursue the studio at that time. In 2023, I reopened the studio and again Michelle joined me to teach self-defense and belly dance classes. I moved to Hawaii in 2024 and now offer in person, classes, and sessions here in Hawaii and we both offer online services. I absolutely love Michelle’s work!  It has been such a joy knowing her and working with her. We are very aligned in how we approach our clients and what our goals as facilitators of healing are. I feel extremely fortunate to have her continuing to offer her services through our online platform. We have the common goals of supporting as much wellness and balance within our Clients as possible. We collaborate together to support each other's efforts in helping people heal in a balanced, physical, emotionally, and healthy way.
